CRYPText is a tool that helps in encrypting text content and generate a self
sufficient file that is capable of decrypting it with a previously
specified password and also capable of encrypting new content into
another file. The encryption and decryption happens locally, and can open on
any device that can open a html file.
CRYPText uses
AES(Advanced Encryption Standard). It is a symmetric key algorithm meaning that
it uses the same password to decrypt a previously encryted file. This is achieved
using CryptoJS.
Click on the hamburger menu and choose 'Create a New Encrypted File'
Enter the contents that need to be encrypted in the edit field
Enter a password and confirm the same in the second field
Click on generate file to generate a new html file that has the content encrypted
To Decrypt:
Once the html file is opened you would be greeted with a password field
Enter the password and then click on OK
You should see the content in the decrypted section only if the password was correct
This field is editable and can be redited
To save changes, you can enter a new password and confirm the same. Once done click on Generate file to create a new file with the new content
